Saint Lucia does not have its own national airline, but the country is served by companies such as Air Canada, Air Jamaica, American Airlines, American Eagle, BMI, British Airways, British West Indies Airways, Caribbean Star, LIAT and Virgin Atlantic. BA offer connecting flights from Gatwick. Flights from London to Castries take approximately eight hours, not including stop off or changeover time. From New York to Castries flights take around four hours. St Lucia’s international airport near Castries offers taxis and bus services into town, along with duty free, bars, banks and restaurants, amongst other things.
